Fix ViMusic Not Working on Android 14/15

If background playback, notifications or stability broke after updating to Android 14/15, follow the steps below.

1) Allow Notifications

  1. Settings → Apps → ViMusic → Notifications → Allow all
  2. Enable Media playback notifications

2) Remove Battery Optimization

  1. Settings → Battery → Battery optimization → All apps → ViMusic → Don't optimize
  2. Settings → Apps → ViMusic → Battery → Allow background activity / Unrestricted

On MIUI/ColorOS/OneUI, also enable Auto-start and lock the app in Recents.

3) Update Android System WebView

Open Play Store → search Android System WebView → Update. Reboot the device.

4) Check Network/DNS/Adblock

  • Disable private DNS / adblock temporarily
  • Try switching Wi‑Fi ↔ mobile data

5) Fallback to Older Version

If problems persist, try v0.5.3 or v0.5.2 which may be more stable on older devices.

Tip: Clear app cache/data after changes: Settings → Apps → ViMusic → Storage → Clear cache/data.
